George Hunja Joined the Safaricom Sacco Board in the Year 2018 and re-elected in 2022 . He is currently the Chair of the board.

He is a distinguished ICT/telecom professional with a career spanning over 18 years in design and delivery of corporate enterprise services. His experience spans in Enterprise Solutions Design & Implementation at Safaricom PLC serving as Senior Manager and different roles in Sales & Marketing, Business Development, and Account Management at Telkom Kenya.

A holder of B.Sc. (Hons) Computing and Information Systems from London Metropolitan University, Higher Diploma in IMIS from Strathmore University, Diploma in Telecommunication from Multimedia University and a Member of AIMIS. He is a Certified coach by International Coach Federation (ICF) for Engagement and Productivity Coach (CEPC) with a passion to develop, discover the human resource potential by leveraging on the coaching principles.
