Astute Information and Cyber Security professional with over 18 years’ experience.
George serves as the Chairperson of the ICT Ad hoc Committee, and secretary of the Audit & Risk Committee within the SACCO. He joined the Board in 2024. George is an astute Information and Cyber Security (ICS) professional and a change agent with over 18 years’ experience in the domains of ICT Service Operations, Consultancy and Systems Implementation across various industry verticals, that is; Telecommunications (Safaricom), Big 4 and Independent Consultancy (PwC, EY & Extant), Banking and Financial Services (NBK – a subsidiary of Access Bank PLC).
Additionally, he serves in various boards, was the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of the Year 2025 Finalist in the CIO Africa Summit and is a member of KBA ICT Risk and Security Sub-committee. Above all, George is passionate about creating value in the intersection of strategic shifts in business information technology, cybersecurity, and architecture.
Education & Qualifications
He has undergone management and leadership training in the Netherlands, has a bachelor’s degree in computer science and technology from Maseno University, holds various industry certifications, and has a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of the People, United States of America (USA).
