Technology governance and cybersecurity leader with over 15 years of experience.
JB Mulei serves as a Board Member of Qona Sacco, having joined the Board in March 2025. He is the Secretary of the ICT Ad-Hoc Committee and a Member of the Audit and Risk Committee, where he supports the Board in discharging its statutory and fiduciary oversight responsibilities, particularly in the areas of governance, internal control systems, risk management, and assurance.
JB has over 15 years of experience in technology governance, enterprise risk management, and cybersecurity programmes. He previously worked at Safaricom Plc in various capacities before joining KCB Group as Senior Manager – Technical Security. He is a member of ISACA and serves on the Kenya Bankers Association ICT Risk and Security Sub-committee.
Education & Qualifications
JB holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Science (IT major) from Moi University and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Information Security and Digital Forensics at University of East London. He is also certified in Sacco governance by The Co-operative University of Kenya and holds additional certifications in leadership and technology from various institutions.
