Seasoned HR Professional with over 23 years’ experience.
Pius joined Qona SACCO Board in 2020 and was re-elected for a second term in 2023. He currently serves as the Board Vice Chairperson and Chairman of the Business Development Committee. He is a seasoned HR Professional with over 23 years’ experience and previously held the role of Executive Head of Department Reward & Organization Effectiveness at Safaricom Ethiopia. His experience spans in the areas of resourcing, Organization design, job analysis, evaluation, and HR due diligence having worked at KPMG, Deloitte, and PwC.
He led the Reward functions at Safaricom Telecommunications Ethiopia PLC, Safaricom PLC, Bamburi Cement, Hima Cement Uganda, and Ericsson Kenya Limited (covering 8 Countries in Hub East, Sub-Saharan Africa Region). He is currently running the family business with interests in real estate.
Education & Qualifications
Pius holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degree first class honors from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He is a Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) and holds a Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management and an Executive Diploma in Industrial Relations from the United States International University.
He is also a member of the Institute of Directors (IOD) Kenya.
